Embudu Village Maldives -Beautiful resort within budget
We stayed at Embudu for 3N 4D and we loved the total experience of staying at resort. The reason in detail are mentioned as follows so keep reading -
1.The resort is 3 star property which is maintained well and has all basic facilities. It would not make you break your bank as it's a decent property with all amenities.. Such as badminton court, swings and all.
2.We are vegetarians, so there were always 3-4 veg options in all three meals like vada, dal, rice in breakfast, vegetables, chapati, Rice and dal in lunch and similar in dinner as well. So vegetarians can have good meals without starving.
3.The beach villa is bang on the beach as the name suggests and is basic with kettle in room, hand soap, shampoo, towels, outside sitting area. Rest dental kit , room slippers, bathrobe and all needs to be carried along as they do not provide this.
4.The beaches are maintained very well and the view is Mesmerizing. There are trees and greenery everywhere and it's very picturesque.
5.The sales manager is very warm person and gave us a very good deal. Mr. Niranjan, food and beverage manager is also very nice person and goes out of to make guests comfortable. The rest of the staff is Ok..they all look stressed and forget to smile sometimes. Ahmed who was cleaning our room once a day was also very warm and friendly person.
6.PCR test is available in the resort( chargeable) and they get the results within 24 hours.
7.They provide 3bottles of water in beach villa and 2 bottles in water villa everyday. Another water bottle is given with every meal.So in a way enough water is provided to guests.
8.There are lots of swings, sittings on the beach, around the trees and everything is clean and very well maintained. The lighting during night just adds to the beauty of the island.
9.Water villa is very nice and worth it. The washroom has jacuzzi in bath tub. There is a big balcony in water villa which is safe for families with young children as there is no opening to the sea directly. The balcony is covered with glass and has a beautiful sitting. There is a small transparent glass on flooring which makes the room all the more interesting. Incase, one can spend a little more money.. I would recommend Water Villa over beach villa. It's beautiful and the views from balcony are breathtaking.
Overall, I loved the resort, staff, food and everything about Embudu.

I would highly recommend it to someone who is looking to have a budget yet amazing holiday to Maldives.
The staff is very punctual when it comes to transfer from Airport to Resort or back.
Also, in case you need anything they would try to help as much as possible.
We would definitely love to go back to this place again.
Tips and Tricks-
You can get a better deal if you email the resort and take a package as compared to going through any Travel agent or website.
Water Villa rooms are far more better than Beach Villa room. Also there is not much price difference in two.
The resort offers better deals if the stay is for more number of days.
It is better to go for two or three meals included in package else the food is expensive.
The day you reach resort, you might not get lunch of you reach around 2 pm so better request them if some snacks can be offered instead.
