Amazing Trip at Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad
We visited Nehru Zoological Park on 13th December 2014 with family.
The overall experience of the visit is wonderful as its a huge place spread over acres of land full of greenery and beauty.
Best time to start the day is between 10-11am as it would take 3-4 hours or more to see the entire place.
It has a very nominal entry fees of Rs.20 per adult.
There is a food court inside however it is advisable to carry food from outside as the food inside is not very good. It is important to note that there is a restriction to carry plastic bags and bottles inside zoo...so better to carry food in paper bags.
There is a huge range of animals that you can see right from various monkeys, birds, elephants, tigers, lions, cheetah, giraffe, deer,bear to many more.
The best part is they are not kept in small cages but have been given huge spaces with trees around. The place where animals are kept is clean and nice which makes the experience all the more good.
Also many birds and animals from other countries have been kept there. They have separate places for snakes and reptiles.In case of facilities there are washrooms built after few metres and drinking water is also available. As the place is huge....there are electric cars and toy train also available.
There is tiger safari available where in they would take you on a 10 mins tour in a bus to show lion ,tiger,deer and bears. It has a ticket at nominal price. In case someone does not wants to go for it..its ok...because all the animals they show can be seen in zoo also..Overall its a great experience and appreciation for the authorities who have well managed such a huge zoo.
