Kumarakom CGH Earth - Coconut Lagoon

 


I am short of words to praise this place, beauty and the staff of Coconut Lagoon, Kumarakom. 


Read on for details -


1.The property is extremely scenic, very well maintained and for sure a five star one. 



2.Heritage Mansion is a duplex room with one sofa cum bed downstairs and one bed upstairs. The mansion has complete wooden interiors and very comfortable wooden stairs inside the room. 


3.The room facing the beautiful Vembanad lake are more beautiful over the others. 



4.The water bottles are provided, basic toiletries, footwear, umbrella etc in room. 


5.Outside the heritage mansion, there is a beautiful sitting with two cane chairs and table. 

6.Room service is excellent, no matter what you ask, within few minutes it's delivered. 


7.Staff is extremely polite, soft spoken and well mannered. They go extra mile for each and everyone. I haven't come across such wonderful people in the longest time. Hats off to the management for training staff and also for keeping them so happy that it can be seen in their service. 


8.The breakfast spread is decent with 2-3 local dishes, idli, vada, live counter of dosa, uttapam, omlette and limited deserts. 


9.Ala carte is very reasonably priced and so os the dinner buffet. 


10.Welcome to resort is unique as we loved arriving in a boat and the music played by team for welcoming us. Coconut water was served to welcome us. The boat was ready at the jetty point to pick us up. 


11.The tea time is interesting as there is a lady who comes on boat and served tea- snacks. The concept is very different and unique experience in itself. They let you enjoy few rounds of munching if you wish to eat more and it's free pr cost. 


12.Pool is very nice, huge with a jacuzzi kind of thing also. They provide tubes and all for kids. 


13. Sunset cruise is nice experience and so is bird watching. 



Can be improved things-


1.Veg food options on menu are very less and even the preparation needs some kind of improvement. In case of Ala carte few more dishes need to added and also taste aspect needs to be worked upon. 


2.Heritage mansion is beautiful however the lights in the room are very less. There is no light in cupboard and in evening it gets difficult to fund stuff with such dim light. 


Overall it was an excellent stay and we would highly recommend this place to everyone. We are looking forward to stay at other properties of CGH soon.

It was very well planned as I had zomatoed number of places and finalized this one...on the basis of its positive reviews read here. As soon as we entered... Delicious food..Kesar da Dhaba, Amritsar

Kesar da dhaba is a must visit place in Amritsar for satisfying your taste buds with authentic Punjabi food. In fact it's an incomplete trip to Amritsar without going to Kesar da dhaba. I had heard about this place for ages and got an opportunity  to visit it for dinner with my parents. As you enter, you find it like any other dhaba in Punjab...with simple tables, menu on wall, noisy unless you indulge in food they serve.  We ordered aloo and mix paranthas , mutter paneer and dal makhani. To start with parantha, they were amazingly delicious and completed dipped in desi ghee. Mutter Paneer  and Dal makhani were served with oodles of ghee and made me fall in love with it. I must confess being Punjabi..dal makhani and paneer dish is like a staple food for us...and this is a pre decided order..no matter whichever restaurant we go...but this time..it was different..and completely heavenly. The Lalit, Goa

  We had stayed at The Lalit Goa for 4 N 5 D with family and here is experience- Good things- 1. The property is extremely beautiful and very well maintained.      It has a private beach which is very clean and beautifully maintained. 2.Buggy facility is available for anyone who cannot walk much and they also offer        complimentary property tour which is a must do activity. 3. A big shout out for the excellent staff.. Ms.Nisha at reception, she helped us with quick check in ( we had 6 hours flight delay and were very tired) , Mr. Pradeep( Sardarji) who was extremely polite and helpful and gave us a wonderful property tour. Mr. Rupesh was also very nice and helpful towards us. 4.The rooms are huge and so are the washrooms. There is a bathtub in every washroom.
